Fees structure:

Discipline and attendance:

Parents must give complete residential address for postal communication and also telephone no., If any available. Students are supposed to attend classes regularly. 80% of attendance is a must to appear for final year examinations. All leaves including medical; should not exceed 20% of the working days. If candidate is not well or by any reason if not attending the classes parents must intimate the same to the principal through a letter immediately. If letter is not received by the principal within 3 days of continues absence, a memo will be served to the address given; by post. If there is no response and students absence continuous for more than 10 days students name will be struck off from the roll. Student’s phone calls during working hours will not be entertained. If any urgent message is to be conveyed; it should be given to the office, so that office will convey the same to student after class hours. Students are not supposed to leave the campus during working hours (9 AM to 5-30 PM).

Holidays and Working hours:

Institute works for 5 days in a week i.e. Monday to Friday. Institute remains closed on every Saturday and Sunday. There are no vacation holidays; but institute will remain closed on central government declared holidays. List of holidays are declared on the notice board.

Hostel accommodation:

Hostel accommodation is available for 50 trainees and it is given on basis of first come first serve. There is no hostel warden; hence students themselves have to maintain self discipline and security. Institute is not responsible for any miss happening. As far as possible students are not supposed to go outside after 5 PM. As there is no canteen hostellers have to cook themselves.  They can purchase items on Saturday for whole of the week. Students are not supposed to call their relatives and friends during their stay in the hostel. Some times hostellers find difficulty in getting money orders in time hence necessary arrangements may be made to send the money in time. Inform local guardian if any, to look into their problems.

Mess and Canteen:

Mess and canteen facilities will be made available from August 2007.

Note:

1) Outstation candidates living in Hostel:

It is found that outstation candidates living in hostel find difficulty in getting money sent through money order. Hence parents can open an account in State Bank of India having ATM facility at their place and hand over ATM card to the candidate. At Tura, SBI has an ATM facility, parents may deposit money as and when required in candidates account at their place and contact candidates over phone to take money. Instantly candidate can get money at Tura.

2) How to reach RVTI(W) Tura:

RVTI(W) is located in Tura, the district headquarters of West Garo Hills District of Megahlaya. Nearest railway and air head is Guwahati , the capital city of Assam. The distance between Guwahati and Tura is approximately 220 Kms. Bus and Sumo services are available from Guwahati to Tura. Timings are as follows:

Bus Services: Morning - 7:00 AM, Night - 8:30 PM

Sumo Services: Morning - 6:30 AM, Afternoon - 2:00 PM

Other than that helicopter services are also available from Guwahati Airport to Tura.

The distance of RVTI campus from Tura Bazar (Bus stand) is approximately 8 kms. Auto and city bus services can be availed to reach the campus.
