RVTI
comes under Government of India, Ministry of Labour, Women’s
Occupation under Directorate of Employment and Training. Women
occupation separated under DGE&T in the year 1976. The first
institute started functioning which was called as National Vocational
Training Institute (NVTI) for women, at New Delhi, with 2 regional
institutes called as RVTI, one at Bombay and other at Bangalore. Today 11 RVTIs are functioning at various places
in India. NVTI and RVTIs are imparting vocational training as required
by the local industry and also providing need based training to become
self entrepreneur. RVTIs are located at Tura, Hissar, Jaipur, Allahabad,
Kolkatta, Indore, Vadodra, Bombay, Bangalore, Trivandrum and 11th is proposed
to start at Bhuvaneshwar. |
